A 27-year-old man was shot to death on a Bronx street early Thursday, police said.
The gunman walked across Sheridan Ave. and opened fire near Marcy Place about 1:10 a.m. Thursday, striking Muhamadou Gumaneh in front of an apartment building, cops said.
Gumaneh, shot multiple times in the body, was rushed by medics to Lincoln Hospital but could not be saved, police said.
The killer got away.
Police recovered six shell casings at the scene, police said.
The victim was about two miles from home when he was slain, according to cops.
The murder was the fourth in the 44th Precinct this year. Through Aug. 11 of last year there had not been any homicides in the precinct.
