The driver of a Ferrari convertible was killed Wednesday after losing control and crashing the high-end sports car on Staten Island, police said.
Edan Darmoni, 29, was driving southbound on Drumgoole Road West around 9:47 a.m. when he failed to navigate the roadway and crashed into multiple trees on Watkins Ave. near a pathway leading to the Korean War Veterans Parkway, cops said.
First responders found Darmoni unconscious, with injuries to his head and body, and EMS rushed him to Staten Island University Hospital-North Campus, where he died of his injuries, cops said.
The NYPD is continuing to investigate the crash.
