This year marks the centenary of the first scientifically recognized discovery of nests containing dinosaur eggs. The finding was made in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert by an expedition from the American Museum of Natural History, led by the legendary US palaeontologist and explorer Roy Chapman Andrews (D. J. Preston Dinosaurs in the Attic; St Martin’s, 1986).
