David Hogg mocks ‘self-righteous, insane, and completely out of control’ Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Gun activist David Hogg took far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green to task after she alleged “a self righteous [sic], insane, and completely out of control” woman confronted her in a restaurant Monday.

Greene — a conspiracy theorist who’s claimed school shootings aren’t real — complained “our country is gone” in her Twitter rant. For once, Hogg could relate to the 48-year-old Republican.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and gun activist David Hogg.

Man that sucks,” he tweeted Tuesday. “I was attacked and screamed at in 2018 by an insane woman named Marjorie Taylor Greene. She had no respect for the privacy of me as an 18 year old school shooting survivor or my staff. She was self righteous [sic], insane, and completely out of control.”

Greene proudly posted video on her YouTube channel showing herself stalking the teenage mass-shooting survivor in 2019 when he came to Washington D.C. to speak about the 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which left 17 people dead and just as many injured.

“Why are [you] using kids as a barrier?” she asked Hogg and several associates as they tried to get away from her.

“I carry a gun for protection,” she told the fleeing group.

That video was part of the well-documented bizarre behavior that led to Greene being stripped of her committee assignments after she was elected to congress in 2020. She has since become a rising star in the Republican Party.

Greene admitted on the House floor in 2021 she “was allowed to believe things that weren’t true” and now believes “school shootings are absolutely real.”
