Frankie Valli’s restraining order against son extended for 3 years

Frankie Valli’s restraining order against eldest son Francesco has been made permanent for three years, nearly a month after he obtained a temporary restraining order for himself and his son Emilio.

The order of protection was approved following a hearing in Los Angeles last Monday, April 29, and will remain in place for both the Newark native, 89, and 29-year-old Emilio until April 29, 2027, People reports.

The judge signed off just days before the Grammy nominee’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on May 3.

“This is really a highlight of my life, especially having my sons here and my wife sitting right there,” said the “Big Girls Don’t Cry” singer. Emilio and his twin brother Brando were in attendance at the milestone event, as well as Valli’s wife, Jackie Jacobs, whom he married last summer.

Last month, the family accused Francesco, 36, of having tried to break into his dad’s property due to an alleged opiate addiction, according to a filing obtained at the time by TMZ.

As “part of a pattern for the past several months,” Emilio also said that his brother had “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” both him and their dad, according to People at the time. Francesco’s alleged troubling behavior “escalated” after Valli cut him off financially, said Emilio.

The “December, 1963” singer “is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a rep for the icon told People in April.

The outlet noted then that the TRO — granted to both Valli and Emilio — prohibited Francesco from contacting either and ordered him to stay at least 100 yards from their residences, vehicles and places of business.
