George Saunders reads his story “The Mom of Bold Action,” from the August 30, 2021, issue of the magazine. Saunders won the Man Booker Prize, in 2017, for the novel “Lincoln in the Bardo.” He is the author of four story collections, including “CivilWarLand in Bad Decline” and “Tenth of December.”
