Hurricane Ida exposed infrastructure weaknesses, delivered $50 million blow to MTA: report

Hurricane Ida’s tear through New York exposed vulnerabilities in the state’s infrastructure, underscored the need for better communication in some agencies and saddled the Metropolitan Transportation Authority with some $54 million in damage and repair costs, according to a report from Gov. Hochul’s office.
