Man, 84, found dead in pond at Bronx golf course

Cops are investigating the death of an 84-year-old man found floating in a pond at a Bronx golf course, police said Saturday.

First responders were called to the Pelham Bay and Split Rock Golf Courses in Pelham Bay Park off of City Island about 2 p.m. Friday, where a body was floating in a pond.

The man died at the scene. His name was not immediately released as cops attempt to locate the man’s family.

It was not immediately clear how the man got into the pond or how long he had been in the water until police were called.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine just how the man died.
