Mayor Adams and City Council leaders have reached a deal on a municipal budget for the next fiscal year that tops $100 billion, sources confirmed to the Daily News on Friday.
The mayor, Council Speaker Adrienne Adams and other key Council members were expected to make the agreement official during a ceremonial handshake press conference at noon at City Hall, the sources said.
The mayor’s office did not immediately return a request for comment, and neither did a spokesman for Speaker Adams.
Specifics of the massive budget were not immediately available, but a source involved in the negotiations said it’s expected to clock in at $101.1 billion.
The agreement comes weeks ahead of the July 1 deadline by which the Council must pass the budget.
