“With everything else going on — crime, homelessness, problems in the subway — the mayor and his team, I’m sure, has better things to do than have his people be involved in this,” Hikind said. “It’s just crazy … I hope the mayor takes a step back and lets the people of Borough Park and Midwood decide. I don’t think it’s good for the mayor. I don’t think it makes him look good.”
