Outdoor Afro is a nonprofit that helps to inspire and facilitate Black joy, connections and leadership in nature, and it’s just teamed up with REI Co-op to offer a collection of outdoor apparel, footwear and accessories that celebrates diversity. Not only does it look and perform great, but it’s designed to meet until-now unmet needs: Think relaxed-fit quarter-zip fleece pullovers designed to look great on a range of body shapes, ’80s-inspired jackets with hair-conscious lining and $150 hiking boots field-tested for 2,000 hours by 100 Co-op members.
Fall is here, and we’re all pivoting to warmer threads — even Nap Dress-maker Hill House Home, which has just dropped a fall collection featuring its first sweater collection. Inspired by British interiors for some straight-up cottagecore, there are mid-hip-hitting, puffed-sleeved crewneck merino wool knits, sweater minidresses, so-called “Grandpa Cardigans” and way, way more to get your fall fashion inspiration going. (Don’t forget to check out the new Nap Dress patterns too — there are some wispy botanicals that call the conservatory to mind, dahling).
Dagne Dover Remi Glasses Case and Frankie Jewelry Case
When it comes time for travel, our accessories always seem to be an afterthought — sunglasses are thrown into the bottoms of totes, earrings are tossed in your toiletry bag. Now, Dagne Dover has introduced two new items that put those accessories at the forefront: the Remi Glasses Case and the Frankie Jewelry Case. The former unfolds to display each of the three pairs of glasses it has rolled up, while the jewelry case comes in two sizes and has slots for rings, plus loops, straps and pockets for jewelry.
Whether it’s a blow dryer or straightener, hot tools that actually work as expected in the morning (meaning not too slow on the heat-up and not frying-your-hair hot when it gets going) are a lifesaver. Drybar’s new blow-drying flat iron potentially even exceeds expectations with a tool that gives you air like a hair dryer paired with a two-inch-wide, flat-iron-like design so you can get two things done at once. Good for fine to medium hair types, this tool is multitasking made easy.
Make flossing more bearable for you and your little one
Flossing isn’t fun for little kids — or their parents — and to that end, Cocofloss has just launched a new kids’ version of a flosser that’s specially designed so parents can floss for their little ones. The $18 kit comes with a refillable Cocoflosser, an ultra-cleansing spool of Cocofloss (33 yards), and a sticker sheet to reward little ones for bearing, if not grinning, through it.
Inventive cleaning kits for every nook, cranny, and clump of fur
Dyson’s vacuums are pretty powerful things, but everyone knows attachments go a long way toward making the task at hand a lot easier. Now the company’s just launched a trio of new attachments compatible across its line of hoovering machines — and they’re not just for your house.
New in is a scratch-free dusting brush kit perfect for windows and screens with gentle bristles inspired by makeup brushes, plus a tube that twists 22 degrees for weird bends and gaps. Secondly, there’s a pet grooming attachment (yes, really) that removes dander, loose hairs and skin flakes from medium- and long-haired coats if your pet will allow it.
Retro-glam suitcases and more for major jet-set mood
A little glamour for your suitcase vibes can make even these days of airport queues a little more bearable. Calpak’s new Trnk Collection is the perfect mood for your next vacation, with pieces like vanity cases, hat boxes (!), and checked and carry-on luggage sizes ready for takeoff and starting at $105. Each piece expands up to two inches for souvenir shoppers or overpackers and comes in your choice of modern almond or classic black.
Wild One Treat Pouch and Toy Kits in Moonstone and Spruce
Two new shades for your good dog’s cookies and toy collection
Wild One’s stylish dog accessories are extremely Instagram-friendly, and the brand’s bestselling treat pouch (an essential for your good dog on W-A-L-K-S) is now available to shop in two new colors: moonstone and spruce. There are pockets for treats, keys,and a dispenser so bags are always at hand. You might remember Parachute’s pop-up-style moment with Nordstrom earlier this year, but now the two have solidified their friendship with a collaborative collection of gorgeous Slate Blue linens available to shop in-store at select Nordstroms or online at the retailer or Parchute’s own site. Starting at $49 for shorts, the extremely restful colorway graces pajamas and bed linens for a dose of tranquility the moment you start to wind down.
Ruggable’s famous for its two-part rugs that let you wash and swap out the cover (part one) that adheres to its non-stick pad (part two). Now, the brand’s gone from indoor, outdoor, and kitchen rugs into the world of bath mats — and it’s doing traditional ones one better by addressing pain points like mildewing, mold and long dry times. The system starts at $89, and you can expect a ton of styles and patterns to get going, from coastal stripes to checked and floral-inspired prints.
An upgraded version of a bestseller with more support and cushioning
Capser’s been coming out with mattress-in-a-box models for years, but their latest drop does one better than a bestseller. The new Element Pro takes what you love about the Element (value, comfort, cushioning) and does it all one better with dual-foam AirScape breathability, long-lasting support, and responsive design. It starts at $595 for a twin and is only available to shop on Casper and Amazon.
Material’s kitchen lineup just got a new addition, courtesy of stylist and founder of Beverly’s NYC, Beverly Nguyen. The brand and aesthete teamed up together to launch a trio of knives in a homey sage green colorway and with all the essentials home cooks need: super-sharp blades made from Japanese high-carbon stainless steel and come in the trifecta of an 8-inch chef’s knife, a 6-inch serrated knife that’s great for things like tomatoes as well as bread, and an almost-four-inch blade for paring, slicing and more. Did we mention how great they look on your knife strip, too?
Hyperice Venom Go and Venom 2
A heat therapy duo of maxed-out and extremely portable relief
Hyperice’s percussive massagers and leg compression devices might be common knowledge by now, but the latest addition to the brand’s recovery lineup includes the Venom Go and Venom 2, heat patches that allow users to customize timing, heat and vibration for their pain and soreness relief. The Go is more portable than ever, while the Venom 2 has faster heating, a larger treatment area, and a longer battery.
If you’ve been thinking about diving into the GoPro world, the brand’s new HERO11 Black line has a trio of new models that have features for every type of user. Athletes, families and pro creators will each find a version that’s right for them, from the $499.99 HERO11 Black to the $699.99 Creator Edition and $399.99 Mini (each are cheaper with a GoPro subscription). The specs are great too: Each camera has a larger sensor delivering 10-bit color depth, maxed-out stabilization and high resolution.
