Omni Royal Orleans, with its Beaux Arts facade, has a long and interesting architectural history that began in the 1800s.

Walking into the Omni Royal Orleans, we were immediately impressed by the chandelier, original to the hotel from the 1800s and updated from candlelight to electricity. The two statues were not part of the original hotel but are from the same period as the chandelier.

We were reminded of the hotel’s stellar design, as the main lobby level at Omni Royal Orleans features an arched colonnade and comfortable seating.

The Grand Ballroom was our next stop. It is located on the lobby level of the Omni Royal Orleans.

Another event space, the Omni Royal Orleans courtyard sits on the second floor and includes an attached climate-controlled room called the Royal Garden Terrace.

The premier room we visited featured a king-sized bed, French and Creole decor accents and a balcony that overlooks St. Louis Street or Royal Street.

Our next stop, the royal suite at Omni Royal Orleans is located on the fourth floor and features a wet bar and dining area.

The suite also provides a parlor with plenty of seating for relaxing and entertaining during your stay.

There are three luxury suites at the Omni Royal Orleans. The royal suite boasts balconies on both St. Louis and Royal streets in the heart of the French Quarter.

We were particularly impressed by the sleek marble bathrooms in a few suites.

The pool is situated on the Omni Royal Orleans’ rooftop, along with La Riviera Bar and an observation deck that provides a 360-degree view of the city.

The final stop on our tour, Omni Royal Orleans is home to a swanky restaurant and bar called the Rib Room. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant, as well as jazz brunch and other recurring events.
