A shooting overnight on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, outside Drake’s Toronto mansion left a security guard on duty in the hospital. The guard was working outside the rapper’s home in Toronto’s Bridle Path neighborhood was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The home was cordoned off by police after police reported a pre-dawn shooting near the property. Police said reports indicated one man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the shooting, which happened at 2:09 am (0609 GMT). A suspect was believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle, and no description was offered.
