The rise of Iran’s hard-liners
For nearly four months, protestors have taken to the streets of Iran demanding serious reforms. The popular uprising, one of the greatest threats to the authority of the Islamic Republic since its inception in 1979, is fueling infighting among the ruling elite, analysts say. With the clerical establishment side-lining any government official seen as reformist and promoting the hard-liners among their ranks. CNN’s Salma Abdelaziz reports.
