Two women and a man were hospitalized Wednesday night following a triple stabbing incident at a McDonald’s restaurant in Newark, N.J., a spokesperson for the city’s Public Safety Department confirmed to the Daily News.
The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m., according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.
Police responded to reports of three people being stabbed at a McDonald’s located at 569 McCarter Highway, near Newark Liberty International Airport. Upon arrival, responding officers located three victims — two adult females and one adult male — who appeared to have been stabbed by a male suspect.
The incident is believed to have followed “an altercation,” officials said.
The victims were then taken to University Hospital. All three are reported to be in stable condition, the department spokesperson said Thursday morning.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident. No additional information is available at this time, officials said.
