Trump probably committed crime on Jan. 6, California judge rules

The judge, David Carter, wrote in a 44-page order that if Trump had succeeded in his aims after the 2020 presidential election, it “would have permanently ended the peaceful transition of power, undermining American democracy and the Constitution.”
