It’s been 25 years since 230 people died aboard TWA Flight 800 when it exploded minutes after taking off from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. It took almost a year for investigators to recover over 95% of the plane, but now the federal government will begin destroying the reconstructed wreckage of the ill-fated aircraft.
