With a promise to keep NYC ‘green’, Mayor Adams taps new parks commissioner Susan Donoghue

“Our parks function as the lungs of the city. They clean our air, they help to lower air temperatures, they absorb stormwater, they have a critical role to play in addressing climate change,” Donoghue said. “But they also are for many New Yorkers where they first learn to ride a bike or throw a ball or have access to the wonders of nature.”
