President Biden Tuesday announced his reelection campaign with a two-minute video that mixed his trademark optimism and combative jabs at Republicans.
On the fourth anniversary of his original campaign launch, the president said he wants to “finish the job” of defending American freedoms.
“Four years ago, I said we were in a battle for the soul of America,” he said. “We still are.”
Biden, 80, took direct aim at “MAGA extremists,” showing photos of former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as he signaled the harsh battle that will unfold in the next 18 months.
